Seattle "Escape from the Rock™" Triathlon

When: Sunday September 12, 2010
Where: Luther Burbank Park Mercer Island, WA
Distances: 0.5 mile swim, 12 mile bike, 2.5 mile run

Mercer Island sets the stage for this beautiful course. The popularity of this event continues to grow year after year. We completely shut down the I-90 express lanes just to give athletes the unique chance to bike across the floating bridge. This sprint event entails a half-mile swim, 12-mile bike and 2.5-mile run. You'll begin with a half-mile swim in Lake Washington at Luther Burbank Park. Then gear up for an 12-mile out-and-back bike ride in the closed-to-traffic express lanes of I-90. Finally, limber up your running legs for a 2.5-mile run along the jog path through beautiful Mercer Island. The event is limited to 800 participants so don't wait too long to register!

Tri, Girl, Tri - All Women's Sprint Triathlon

Where: Oak Shores Recreation Area, Lake Berryessa Napa, CA
Distances: 0.5 mile swim, 11 mile bike, 3 mile run

Lake Berryessa provides a gorgeous venue for this triathlon. This is the estrogen-powered version of the popular Napa Valley Sprint Triathlon held each May. Now in its seventh year, our all-women's triathlon has fast become a favorite for first-timers as well as seasoned triathletes looking for a fun, supportive atmosphere! The sprint event entails a half-mile swim, 11-mile bike and 3-mile run. You'll begin your race following a half-mile triangular swim course in Lake Berryessa at Oak Shores. With water temperatures in Lake Berryessa hovering in the low-70s, wetsuits are allowed, but not mandatory. Next, jump on your bike for an out-and-back 11-mile spin along the rolling hills surrounding Lake Berryessa. Finally, you'll find your running legs as you head out for the out-and-back 3-mile course over rolling terrain. The event is limited to 700 participants and sells out months in advance so don't wait too long to register!

Napa Valley Vintage Triathlon (half-iron distance)

Where: Oak Shores Recreation Area, Lake Berryessa Napa, CA
Distances: Half-Iron Distances: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run

This event is getting bigger and better now in its' sixth year. Our Napa Valley Vintage half-iron distance event is becoming very popular with athletes from around the world and quickly growing in participation. The half-iron distance event entails a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and half marathon (13.1 mile) run. You'll begin your race following a 1.2-mile rectangular swim course in Lake Berryessa at Oak Shores. With water temperatures in Lake Berryessa hovering in the low 70s, wetsuits are allowed, but not mandatory. Next, jump on your bike for the 56-mile bike course through the rolling countryside of Pope Valley, passing scenic vineyards, idyllic pastures and charming old barns along the way as well as stunning views of Lake Berryessa. The bike course has been changed to improve the safety of the participants. With the "out & back" feature, participants now have a chance to observe the competition and cheer fellow riders. Enjoy views of Lake Berryessa along the final leg Half Marathon run, which follows a double out-and-back course along the rolling hills of Knoxville Road.
